Energy Week. December 4 to 7, 2017

Quito, October 24th, 2017 To ensure the success of the Energy Week as the iconic event for the energy sector in Latin America and the Caribbean, the Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE), the Ministry of Energy and Mining of the Argentine Republic and the Inter-American Development Bank ( IDB), organizing institutions, cordially invite the community of the energy sector, to be part of this meeting that will take place from December 4 to 7 at the Alvear Icon Convention Center, Aimé Painé 1130 Puerto Madero, Buenos Aires- Argentina.

The Energy Week will culminate with the XLVII Meeting of Energy Ministers of OLADE, one of the main areas of dialogue, which annually convenes all government authorities in the sector. This space incorporates the Regional Dialogue on Policies and Strategies for the energy sector, promoted by the IDB, the OLADE’s Council of Experts and the Regional Energy Integration Forum (FIER).

This week will also focus on events such as the SEforALL Americas Hub, the Energy Efficiency Dialogue of ECLAC, and parallel events of IRENA, GIZ and other organizations that continue to join, interested in participating in the Energy Week.

OLADE, together with the strategic partners, companies and organizations that support the development of this important event, seek to contribute to sub-regional and regional integration, to achieve an effective dialogue on the new scenarios and challenges for the sector.

During the XII Regional Energy Integration Forum, an event that will inaugurate the Energy Week, the following topics will be addressed:

Integration of Markets oriented to the Energy Transition of Latin America and the Caribbean.
Integration of knowledge, information systems and transparency in the energy sector in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The role of LNG and non-conventional hydrocarbons in energy integration in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Why it is important to attend the Energy Week- 2017?

The Energy Week will be the most important strategic event, which provides a unique opportunity to contact the leaders of the energy sector in the region. It is the highest level discussion scenario of the sector, for speakers, and participants to share content and to create strategic debates about the present and future of the energy sector in Latin America and the Caribbean.

National and international speakers and panelists, governments, companies and academia specializing in the energy sector in the global, regional and national sector will participate during the Energy Week.
